Market Heart
On TraderFeed Brett Steenbarger discussed the idea of putting a heart monitor on while the market is open and trying to keep an even keel. I did something similar where I would record shows on CNBC like the closing bell on days where the market was up 2% and down 2%. Then I’d try to watch them on the weekend and respond emotially the exact same way. I’d get sad and drink scotch when the market was up 2% in a day, then I’d watch the down days and do the same thing. Then I’d re-watch it and be excited, do jumping jacks and get all fired up. I’m going to try and add the heart monitor to this and see how I react durring the day and durring the recording.
